Senator Gordner Reminds Seniors That This Year's Property Tax and Rent Rebate Program is Underway

(HARRISBURG) - - Property Tax and Rent Rebate forms for the new year are now available in his district offices, according to Senator John R. Gordner (R-27). The forms are for property taxes or rent paid in 2007.

“We are pleased to be able to assist seniors in filing for the rebates,” said the Senator.

The Property Tax and Rent Rebate program benefits eligible Pennsylvanians who are 65 and older; widows and widowers who are 50 and older; and persons with disabilities who are 18 and older. In 2006, the General Assembly increased homeowner income limits to $35,000 annually, excluding half of Social Security income, and the maximum rebate was increased to $650.
